The Specials next month will release a 26-track live album dubbed ‘More… Or Less: The Specials Live’ in both 2CD and 2LP formats, collecting “the best of the best tracks” from U.K. and European dates on the band’s 2011 reunion tour, EMI Catalogue announced this morning.

Just a day after offering up a free download from their new album, the reunited Dead Can Dance are now putting it all out there, offering a full stream of the eight-track ‘Anastasis,’ the duo’s first new album in 16 years, seven weeks before its release in a variety of digital and physical formats.

The Fixx returns next month with ‘Beautiful Friction,’ the band’s first album in nearly a decade and the first featuring the group’s classic mid-’80s — singer Cy Curnin, keyboard player Rupert Greenall, guitarist Jamie West-Oram, drummer Adam Woods and bassist Dan K. Brown — lineup since 1991’s ‘Ink.’

Al Jourgensen’s reactivated Ministry currently is in the midst of a short U.S. comeback tour, but could the band’s much-loved — and, famously, much-hated by Jourgensen himself — 1983 synthpop debut ‘With Sympathy’ finally be receiving the expanded reissue that was first set for release back in 2008?

In the works for nearly three years, ‘Love This Giant’ — the joint album by former Talking Heads frontman David Byrne and singer-songwriter/guitar ace Annie Clark, better known as St. Vincent — will be released in September, after which the two will embark on a 25-date fall North American tour.

Dinosaur Jr today announced they will release their third post-reunion album, the 10-track ‘I Bet on Sky,’ on Sept. 17 in the U.K. and Sept. 18 in the U.S. and then embark on a 29-date North American tour this fall. Bob Mould will release a new album called ‘Silver Age’ that Merge Records likens to the ‘punishingly loud, melodically sparkling pop/rock vein of the Sugar catlalog’ — a fitting comparison, since Mould will tour the album in the U.S. this fall by playing that band’s ‘Copper Blue’ front-to-back.

Jimmy Somerville’s three mid-’80s studio albums with synthpop groups Bronski Beat and the Communards each will be reissued this summer as expanded double-disc sets loaded with a host of B-sides, remixes, live tracks and more — with some of the material making its way to CD for the first time ever.

Skinny Puppy next month will release the live album ‘Bootlegged, Broke and In Solvent Seas,’ recorded on the band’s 2010 European tour — and you can get a first taste via this live version of ‘Dogshit,’ the infamous lead-off track to 1988’s ‘VIVIsectVI’ that was renamed ‘Censor’ when it was released as a single.

With expanded reissues of Sugar’s catalog — 1992′s landmark ‘Copper Blue,’ the 1993 companion EP ‘Beaster’ and 1994 sophomore album ‘File Under: Easy Listening’ — coming out over the next few weeks in the U.K., Merge Records has announced it will release trimmed-down versions in the U.S. later this summer.

Fierce Panda Records and musical director Alan Wilder have revealed the full tracklist for ‘Spirit of Talk Talk,’ a 2CD tribute dedicated to hugely influential synth group Talk Talk that will feature contributions from members of Arcade Fire and Grandaddy, as well as ex-Depeche Mode member Wilder’s Recoil project.

Redd Kross — the ’80s cult act founded by brothers Jeff and Steven McDonald that scored some minor college-radio hits as ’90s major-label alt-rockers — have signed to legendary indie imprint Merge Records and this August will deliver ‘Researching the Blues,’ the band’s first new album in 15 years.
