Echo & The Bunnymen have again added three dates onto the end of their summer North American tour, announcing plans to play in Minneapolis, London, Ontario, and Montreal in August. This follows the band’s announcement last month that it would add shows in Edmonton, Calgary and Winnepeg.

The Psychedelic Furs will follow up their spring and summer North American dates with Robyn Hitchcock — and concerts in Mexico, South America, Europe and the U.K. — with a just-announced run of 20 dates this fall in the U.S. and Canada. See those new tour dates, and more, here.

Belgian industrial-dance outfit Lords of Acid — perhaps best known for 1988 debut single “I Sit On Acid” — will stage their first North American tour this fall in six years, a 32-date trek that will see the group performing its second album, 1994’s Voodoo-U, in its entirely.

Reunited indie-pop outfit The Primitives have released a new four-song EP titled New Thrills, and will help promote it later this month with a pair of U.K. shows in London and Manchester followed, in early June, by a trio or rare U.S. dates. Stream the new EP, and check out tour dates, here.

Daniel Ash and Kevin Haskins continue to expand their inaugural U.S. tour as Poptone — which will perform a Tones on Tail-heavy set, along with music by Bauhaus and Love and Rockets — with the addition today of much-anticipated East Coast dates in August.

Post-punk legends act Wire today announced a 13-date north American tour this September in support of its recently released 15th studio album, Silver/Lead. The trek opens Sept. 16 in Chicago, and includes dates in the midwest and on the East Coast, wrapping up with three nights in Brooklyn. See full dates here.

Classic synthpop outfit Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark this week announced they’ll release their 13th studio album — the group’s first record since 2013’s English Electric — this September, to be followed by a fall tour of the U.K. and Europe. The Sisters of Mercy will follow up a pair of festival appearances in August with an 18-date European tour, opening with a pair of previously announced London shows and continuing throughout September with dates in Belgium, Germany, Sweden, Poland, Austria, Luxembourg and The Netherlands.

Echo & The Bunnymen this week announced a trio of Canadian concerts to follow their co-headlining tour with Violent Femmes this summer, dates in August in the cities of Edmonton, Calgary and Winnipeg. Tickets for the three Bunnymen-only shows will go on sale 10 a.m. local time Friday.

With his 13th solo album, A Kind Revolution, due out Friday, Paul Weller today announced a 20-date North American tour this October to support the record — an unusually extensive trek for the former Jam frontman, whose U.S. tours in recent years have only hit a few major cities.

Just two dates into the North American leg of their worldwide reunion tour, Midnight Oil this morning announced the band will return to the U.S. in late August for “a final four special shows” in Los Angeles, New York, Minneapolis and Cleveland. See the band’s full tour dates here.

As The Afghan Whigs prepare to release their second post-reunion album, In Spades, on Friday, the Greg Dulli-helmed outfit this week announced a 28-city North American tour in support of the record this September and October. The Whigs also have released a music video for In Spades track “Oriole.”

The Waterboys will release their 12th album, a double record entitled Out of All This Blue, in September, a collection of 23 new songs that bandleader Mike Scott says show influences of soul, hip-hop (yes, hip-hop), R&B, funk and swamp-rock. Scott also confirmed The Waterboys will tour the U.S. in 2018.
