After nearly 30 years as a bandleader — first fronting Camper Van Beethoven, then Cracker, and, more recently, both — David Lowery next month will release his first-ever solo album, ‘The Palace Guards,’ billed as a ‘batch of songs that didn’t quite fit the vibe of Cracker or Camper Van Beethoven.’

For the first time in 20 years, The Godfathers will tour the U.S. in February, a 10-date trek that includes the U.K. rockers’ annual St. Valentine’s Day Massacre — which we’re thrilled to announce as the first Slicing Up Eyeballs Presents concert — at Santo’s Party House in New York.

Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark will bring its ‘History of Modern’ tour to North America in March for a 16-date trek booked around the South By Southwest festival — the classic lineup’s first U.S. concerts since opening for Depeche Mode’s ‘Music for the Masses’ tour.

Wire will embark on a short nine-date North American tour this April in support of their 12th studio album — the 11-track ‘Red Barked Tree’ — which is due out on Tuesday, although you can now stream the record in its entirety on NPR’s website.

Mike Watt will release his third punk opera in March — the 30-track, Minutemen-inspired ‘Hyphenated-Man’ — and then embark on a massive North American tour in which he and his band The Missingmen will play the album ’51 times in 52 days.’

Former Hüsker Dü drummer, songwriter and co-vocalist Grant Hart will embark on a short tour of the mid-Atlantic and southeastern regions of the U.S. next month in support of the reissue of the long-out-of-print ‘The Last Days of Pompeii,’ the 1991 debut from his post-Hüskers project Nova Mob.
