The Ocean Blue has completed recording its first new album in six years — due out some time later this year — and has announced a handful of concerts across the country this summer to be followed by what, at the moment, remains a standalone Detroit show in November. Full details right here.

The Violent Femmes this summer will release Hotel Last Resort, the band’s 10th studio album and first in three years — and the first recorded by the group’s new four-piece lineup. The Cure today announced the band’s first U.S. live dates since 2016, a pair of headlining appearances at the Austin City Limits Music Festival in Austin, Texas, this October — though it’s not yet known whether these will be 30th anniversary performances of Disintegration. Johnny Marr today announced that he’s being forced to postpone the first three dates of his upcoming North American tour — concerts in Atlanta, Charlotte, N.C., and Raleigh, N.C. — “with much sadness and frustration” over visa issues. Full details and full tour itinerary right here.

Morrissey’s Canadian tour that was to have started Sunday night in Vancouver is on the rocks after at least the first two concerts — if not most of the trek — have been rescheduled for October “due to a medical emergency stemming from an accident incurred while traveling in Europe.” Full details here.

Party-rock favorites The B-52s are headed out on a 40th anniversary tour of North America this summer, and they’ve enlisted contemporaries Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark and Berlin to open the tour. OMD also will be playing four headline shows in the U.S. during a tour break. Full dates here.
