Peter Murphy will head Down Under early next year for his first-ever tour of Australia — as either a solo artist or as a member of Bauhaus — but not before completing a few more one-off shows in the U.S., including his $500-a-ticket “Halloween Miracula” concert in Los Angeles and newly announced dates in San Diego and Miami.

Depeche Mode held a news conference in Paris today to announce the European leg of its 2013 world tour — the dates mirroring those that leaked yesterday — and tease fans with a preview of a track from the band’s as-yet-untitled album, which Martin Gore characterized as a cross between ‘Violator’ and ‘Songs of Faith and Devotion.’

Depeche Mode is set to hold a press conference in Paris tomorrow, where the band is expected to announce details of its next studio album, which is due out next spring, and plans for yet another massive world tour, its first since the global outing in support of 2009’s Sounds of the Universe.

Two weeks into his U.S. tour, Morrissey today postponed his next four concerts — in Pittsburgh, Pa.; Columbus, Ohio; Flint, Mich.; and Chicago, Ill. — to return to England to be with is mother, who “has been hospitalized and is unwell,” according to a note posted to quasi-official fansite True To You.

Fans of The Lemonheads hoping to see a reunion of Evan Dando and the band’s former bassist Juliana Hatfield during the group’s current tour opening for The Psychedelic Furs are in for disappointment: Hatfield is not on the tour after all. When asked at a recent show, Dando simply said, “She’s in Boston.”

Midge Ure today announced a rare North American solo tour that’s set to take place this coming January — featuring, “so far,” 12 dates confirmed across the U.S. and a single Canadian concert —that he says “is to pave the way for the possibility of bringing Ultravox over later in the year.”

The Stone Roses reunion will roll into 2013 as the band this week confirmed it will join the five-date, traveling Future Music Festival in Australia next March, performing concerts in Brisbane, Perth, Sydney and Melbourne along with The Prodigy, Dizzee Rascal, Bloc Party and, uh, that “Gangnam Style” guy.
