Omnivore Recordings will launch a new Game Theory reissue campaign this September with the first release of the band’s debut Blaze of Glory in its original form since the album’s original issue in 1982, supplementing the 12-track record with 15 bonus tracks,

Bassist Steven Severin hinted this weekend that the final four titles in Siouxsie and the Banshees’ catalog finally will receive expanded reissues Sept. 15, more than four years after Universal Music pulled the plug on the band’s reissue campaign midstream.

Midnight Oil this month will release for the first time remastered CDs of the band’s full catalog from 1978 to 1993 — the group’s first eight full-length albums, plus two EPs — and also will finally issue its 1990 VHS release “Black Rain Falls” on DVD and digitally.

Sonic Youth will launch a new reissue campaign focused on the band’s ’80s pre-Geffen releases next month with new CD and 2LP pressings of landmark 1988 album Daydream Nation as well as a new CD edition of The Whitey Album, released that same year under the name Ciccone Youth.

Plain Recordings continues its run of 180-gram Paul Westerberg reissues, announcing this week that it will follow up its new editions of 14 Songs and Eventually with the release the once and current Replacements frontman’s third solo album — 1999’s Suicaine Gratification — on vinyl for the first time ever this fall.

This summer, Plain Recordings will reissue Spiritualized’s 1993 live album Fucked Up Inside — originally issued as a 1,000-copy mail-order edition — on 180-gram vinyl in a reproduction of the original silver foil-embossed sleeve. The new edition of the seven-track live album will be limited to 3,000 copies,

A new 50-song compilation of early R.E.M. material called Complete Rarities: I.R.S. 1982-1987 is due out digitally next month, but appears to be largely, if not completely, comprised of tracks previously assembled on 1987’s out-of-print Dead Letter Office, a more recent I.R.S. years best-of and singles.
