Out on tour in support of his new mostly acoustic solo album ‘Several Shades of Why’, Dinosaur Jr frontman J Mascis hauled his acoustic up to the studios of Minneapolis’ 89.3 The Current to perform a trio of songs live on the air earlier this month.

Tonight’s “Dark Wave” on Sirius XM’s 1st Wave featured a rare guest host, in the form of skateboard legend Tony Hawk, who, prior going on the air, tweeted he would be ‘playing music us weirdos were listening to while you were at the bitchin’ kegger.’
