Five days after shocking fans with a rare, unbilled live performance in London, former Cocteau Twins frontwoman Elizabeth Fraser surfaced again, showing up backstage at Garbage’s concert in Bristol on Friday night — much to the shock and delight of singer Shirley Manson. Two photos have now surfaced.

Blondie and Devo last night wrapped up their joint U.S. tour with a concert at the Chicago Theatre, and Debbie Harry marked the occasion today by tweeting this photo of the two bands backstage together. Blondie still has a few scattered U.S. dates planned in the coming weeks.

Now here’s something you don’t see every day: A snapshot of Billy Bragg and Morrissey — clad in knee-bearing shorts and some sort of floral or Hawaiian shirt, with his tongue jutting out — at Canada’s Wonderland amusement park in Toronto while on tour with The Smiths in 1985.

No stranger to oddball photo shoots, Brit-rock iconoclast Morrissey appears on the cover of tomorrow’s Guardian Weekend magazine with a cat perched atop his unsmiling head for a feature headlined ‘Bigmouth strikes again: Morrissey lets rip.’
