The Replacements may be back, but they’re still getting no respect: The Roll Hall of Fame’s Class of 2014 was revealed by Rolling Stone tonight, and the ‘Mats, while nominated back in October, didn’t make the cut. Instead, Nirvana, Peter Gabriel, KISS, Hall and Oates, Cat Stevens and Linda Ronstadt will be inducted come April.

Less than two months after reuniting onstage for the first time in more than two decades, The Replacements tonight landed a nomination to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’s Class of 2014, joining a list of nominees that includes Nirvana, Peter Gabriel, KISS and more, Rolling Stone reports.

The Ramones’ 1976 self-titled debut album was inducted into the Library of Congress’ National Recording Registry today alongside 25 other songs and records — including Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon and the “Saturday Night Fever” soundtrack — as examples of the “richness and variety of our audio heritage

Last night in Los Angeles, Depeche Mode’s Dave Gahan played an eight-song set that included covers of Joy Division’s ‘Love Will Tear Us Apart,’ David Bowie’s ‘Cracked Actor’ and the Damned’s ‘New Rose,’ plus Depeche Mode hits ‘I Feel You’ and ‘Personal Jesus,’ the latter with guest Martin Gore.

Back in October, The Church was inducted into the Australian Recording Industry Association Hall of Fame; at the ceremony in Sydney, the band performed its 1988 crossover hit ‘Under the Milky Way’ plus its 1986 single ‘Tantalized.’
