Peter Gabriel’s foray into classical music continues this fall when the singer follows last year’s orchestral covers album ‘Scratch My Back’ with a collection of symphonic reworkings of his own material called ‘New Blood’ — plus the ‘New Blood: Live in London in 3 Dimensions’ concert movie filmed this part March.

The Wedding Present’s 2005 tour of North America in support of that year’s ‘Take Fountain’ album is the subject of a new 139-minute concert film called ‘Drive’ that will be released on DVD in the U.S. next week and in the U.K. later this year.

More than a year after premiering at South By Southwest, the David Byrne concert film ‘Ride, Rise, Roar’ — documenting the creation and staging of the ‘Songs of David Byrne and Brian Eno’ tour in 2008 and 2009 — arrives on DVD and Blu-ray next week.

Back in March we brought you news that Primal Scream would release a DVD and Blu-ray of its Nov. 26 performance of 1991’s just-reissued ‘Screamadelica’ in London — and now we can confirm that the concert film also will be released in the U.S. on both formats, with a bonus CD accompanying the DVD version.

Next month, Squeeze co-founder Glenn Tilbrook will release ‘Live in New York City,’ a DVD chronicling a 2006 concert he performed in the Big Apple backed by The Fluffers.

The fabled rock documentary ‘1991: The Year Punk Broke’ — chronicling Sonic Youth’s tour of Europe with opening act Nirvana — finally will be released on DVD this fall in a special 20th anniversary edition featuring 42 minutes of bonus performances and other material.

Primal Scream this May will release a live DVD and Blu-ray capturing its first full-album performance of its classic 1991 record ‘Screamadelica’ — a concert staged last Nov. 26 in London, which has now kicked off months of touring behind the reissue.
