Skinny Puppy next month will release the live album ‘Bootlegged, Broke and In Solvent Seas,’ recorded on the band’s 2010 European tour — and you can get a first taste via this live version of ‘Dogshit,’ the infamous lead-off track to 1988’s ‘VIVIsectVI’ that was renamed ‘Censor’ when it was released as a single.

Merge Records is offering fans a taste of the first new album in 15 years from Redd Kross — the ’80s cult act founded by brothers Jeff and Steven McDonald that scored some minor college-radio hits as ’90s major-label alt-rockers — in the form of a free download of the record’s stomping title track.

Robyn Hitchcock this week announced he is recording a new album — provisionally titled ‘File Under Pop’ — that’s being eyed for a January release, but, in the meantime, he’s giving away two “interim tracks” as free downloads, including one recorded with singer-songwriter KT Tunstall singing harmonies.
