Men Without Hats are set to release ‘Love in the Age of War,’ their first album in nine years, this spring, and last week frontman Ivan Doroschuk premiered the album’s first single, “Head Above Water,” on Montreal’s CHOM 97.7. On Saturday, Public Image Ltd. will release its first new music in 20 years in the form of the ‘One Drop’ EP, a Record Store Day release featuring four tracks off the band’s upcoming full-length album ‘This Is PiL.’ We’ve already heard lead single “One Drop,” but now comes a second new PiL track: “Lollipop Opera.”

As you may have heard on this week’s Slicing Up Eyeballs show on Strangeways Radio, the ever-quirky Devo has recorded the theme song to the new Syfy series ‘Monster Man,’ a show that goes behind the scenes of a Hollywood prop shop. You can stream and/or download the track here.

Over this past weekend, BBC’s Radio 2 marked the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic with ‘Minute By Minute,’ which recounted the disaster in real time — complete with a contribution from Billy Bragg, who wrote and performed a song from the oft-misunderstood iceberg’s point of view.

The ’80s-era lineup of Ultravox — Midge Ure, Billy Currie, Chris Cross and Warren Cann — last month announced plans to release ‘Brilliant,’ their first new studio album together in 28 years, and today debuted the first music from that project, lead single and title track ‘Brilliant,’ on British radio.

Punk giant Joey Ramone shuffled off the stage more than a decade ago, but that’s not getting in the way of the release next month of his sophomore album ‘…Ya Know?’ — which will be preceded by a Record Store Day release of lead-off track ‘Rock ‘N’ Roll Is The Answer’ on red-vinyl 7-inch, which you now stream right here.

Squeeze opens a Coachella-centered U.S. tour this week, and will be bringing along a new piece of merchandise: a limited-edition, white-vinyl concert album called ‘Live at the Fillmore’ that was recorded at the historic San Francisco venue in August 2010. Stream one of the tracks here.
