Robyn Hitchcock today offered fans their first taste of his upcoming studio album ‘Love From London,’ releasing a stream of “Be Still,” which you can check out right here. The album itself, a 10-song collection that “celebrates life in a culture imperiled by economic and environmental collapse,” arrives March 5

They Might Be Giants this week released the ‘Nanobots EP,’ a three-track teaser ahead of the March 5 release of their 16th studio album, ‘Nanobots,’ that features the already premiered “Call You Mom” and two more tracks off the new record — and you can check out one of those, “Lost My Mind,” right here.

With an April tour of the U.K. expected to be announced Wednesday, The House of Love is now previewing two tracks off its upcoming sixth album, ‘She Paints Words in Red,’ on the band’s official Facebook page. Currently streaming are 1-minute samples of opening song “A Baby Got Back on its Feet” and the title track.

Black Rebel Motorcycle Club this week released the first single off their upcoming seventh album, ‘Specter at the Feast,’ as a free MP3 — and, perhaps not surprisingly, it’s a cover of “Let the Day Begin,” the classic 1989 single by The Call, whose frontman, the late Michael Been, is the father of BRMC’s Robert Levon Been.

U.K. post-punk legends Wire this week offered up the first taste of their upcoming ‘Changes Becomes Us’ in the form of opening track “Doubles & Trebles,” which is apparently a reworking of a previously unreleased song called “Ally in Exile.” The album is being build as “exploration of unrecorded material originally written in 1979-80.”

This April marks the 25th anniversary of both Mudhoney and its label, Seattle’s Sub Pop Records, and the proto-grunge act will mark the occasion with the release of its ninth studio album, ‘Vanishing Point’ — which you can preview now via a free download of first single “The Only Son of the Widow from Nain.”
