Via the release of the ‘One Drop’ EP last month, we’ve heard four of the new Public Image Ltd. tracks that will appear on ‘This Is PiL,’ the group’s first new album in 20 years, which arrives May 28 in the U.K. and May 29 in the U.S. Now comes a fifth new track, via Rolling Stone: ‘Deeper Water.’

Robyn Hitchcock this week announced he is recording a new album — provisionally titled ‘File Under Pop’ — that’s being eyed for a January release, but, in the meantime, he’s giving away two “interim tracks” as free downloads, including one recorded with singer-songwriter KT Tunstall singing harmonies.

Since last November, the reunited Dead Can Dance has released a series of free digital EPs every few months collecting material recorded on the band’s 2005 tour. This week comes the latest, ‘Live Happenings — Part V,’ which features “Black Sun,” “Salem’s Lot,” “Yulunga,” “Severance” and “Hymn for the Fallen.”

The new album from electronic music project Soulsavers — featuring Depeche Mode frontman Dave Gahan on lead vocals — arrives next week, but Mute Records is letting fans hear the full stream of ‘The Light the Dead See’ via the widget posted here. Joe Jackson is tipping his hat to jazz legend Duke Ellington this summer with a new album called ‘The Duke’ — featuring guest turns by the likes of Iggy Pop, The Roots’ ?uestlove, Steve Vai and Sharon Jones, among others — to be followed by a 14-date U.S. tour this fall featuring his “Bigger Band.”

If you missed the Record Store Day release last weekend from dreampop/electronic duo School of Seven Bells — a cover of Siouxsie and the Banshees’ late-period hit, ‘Kiss Them For Me’ — have no fear, it’s now available online and not just on wax. Men Without Hats are set to release ‘Love in the Age of War,’ their first album in nine years, this spring, and last week frontman Ivan Doroschuk premiered the album’s first single, “Head Above Water,” on Montreal’s CHOM 97.7. Over this past weekend, BBC’s Radio 2 marked the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic with ‘Minute By Minute,’ which recounted the disaster in real time — complete with a contribution from Billy Bragg, who wrote and performed a song from the oft-misunderstood iceberg’s point of view.

The ’80s-era lineup of Ultravox — Midge Ure, Billy Currie, Chris Cross and Warren Cann — last month announced plans to release ‘Brilliant,’ their first new studio album together in 28 years, and today debuted the first music from that project, lead single and title track ‘Brilliant,’ on British radio.

Punk giant Joey Ramone shuffled off the stage more than a decade ago, but that’s not getting in the way of the release next month of his sophomore album ‘…Ya Know?’ — which will be preceded by a Record Store Day release of lead-off track ‘Rock ‘N’ Roll Is The Answer’ on red-vinyl 7-inch, which you now stream right here.

Squeeze opens a Coachella-centered U.S. tour this week, and will be bringing along a new piece of merchandise: a limited-edition, white-vinyl concert album called ‘Live at the Fillmore’ that was recorded at the historic San Francisco venue in August 2010. Stream one of the tracks here.
