Synth pioneer and former Ultravox singer John Foxx is marking the 30th anniversary of the release of his solo debut ‘Metamatic’ with a new 2CD/1DVD retrospective called ‘Metatronic’ — as well as a special “analog” concert in London next month with guest DJ Gary Numan.

The folks at Beggars Archive this week announced a May 17 release date for The Charlatans’ 2CD ‘Some Friendly: Expanded Edition,’ timed to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Manchester act’s chart-topping debut.

Revived Brit rockers The Godfathers will play London this June on the exact date of their first gig in 1985, in addition to an extensive, just-announced 25th anniversary U.K tour set for late April and May and a string of summer festival dates.

Australian rockers The Church will return to North America in April and May for “An Intimate Space,” a special 30th anniversary tour that will find the band performing unplugged — and running through three decades’ worth of material in reverse chronological order.

Beggars Archive will release an expanded 2CD reissue of The Charlatans’ 1990 debut “Some Friendly” — although not the larger “Omnibus” set originally planned — to coincide with the band’s 20th anniversary performance of the full album in London and Barcelona this May.

Brit punk jokesters The Toy Dolls have begun work on their 12th studio album — the follow-up to 2004’s no-longer-accurately titled Our Last Album? — and have plotted initial spring and summer dates in Europe and Russia for a planned 30th anniversary tour.

Postpunk juggernaut Killing Joke — its original lineup back in place for the first time since 1982’s Revelations — will release its 13th album, Feast of Fools, in April and embark on a 30th anniversary tour of Europe and North America beginning that same month.
