New Order  this summer will release an 18-song live album recorded during the band’s celebrated five-night run of performances — backed by a 12-piece synthesizer orchestra — at the Manchester International Festival in the summer of 2017. The Cure will host and headline a daylong music festival on the golf course next to the iconic Rose Bowl in Pasadena, Calif., over Labor Day weekend, with Robert Smith and Co. joined by hand-picked supporting acts Pixies, Deftones, Mogwai, Throwing Muses and more. Full details right here.

Morrissey closed out his seven-night residency on Broadway on Saturday with something old-but-new: He treated the New York City crowd to his first-ever performance of the ballad “I Won’t Share You,” off The Smiths’ 1987 swan song Strangeways, Here We Come. Watch the performance right here.

The Ocean Blue has completed recording its first new album in six years — due out some time later this year — and has announced a handful of concerts across the country this summer to be followed by what, at the moment, remains a standalone Detroit show in November. Full details right here.

Scottish indie-pop favorites Trashcan Sinatras will return to North America this October and November for another round of “One Night, Two Albums” shows, this time performing the band’s third and fourth albums, 1996’s A Happy Pocket and 2004’s Weightlifting. See those full tour dates here.

The ’80s-themed Like Totally Music Festival that was scheduled for Saturday at Huntington State Beach south of Los Angeles was canceled today, two days after co-headliners The Bangles dropped out and after organizers failed to provide proper safety documentation for the stage. Full details here.

Joy Division and the band’s famed art director Peter Saville have teamed up with London fashion retailer Goodhood to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Unknown Pleasures by reissuing the album on ruby red vinyl and in a white sleeve “resembling the original design idea.” Full details here.

Former R.E.M. frontman Michael Stipe performed a pair of new songs during a short opening set for Patti Smith at New York City’s Webster Hall, performing the electronics-backed “Your Capricious Soul” and “Drive to the Ocean” with help from Andy LeMaster of Now It’s Overhead. Watch them here.
