Peter Murphy remains hospitalized in New York City after suffering a heart attack this week, which has forced the former Bauhaus frontman to scrub the remaining five dates of his 12-concert residency in that city, his publicists announced Wednesday. Full details right here.

The Cure today shared the first footage of their 2018 appearance at the Meltdown festival that will be included in the band’s upcoming 40 Live: Curaetion-25 + Anniversary box set, which document that performance and their 40th anniversary show in London’s Hyde Park last year. The Cure’s bassist Simon Gallup was unable to travel to Japan for the band’s set at the Fuji Rock Festival tonight due to a “serious personal situation,” but the show went on with a natural fill in: his son Eden Gallup, who’s also Simon’s bass tech and plays in the band Violet Vendetta.
