The five-disc World Party box set announced last month will be released April 10 and comprised entirely of previously unreleased material: 70 never-before-heard tracks including new songs and an ‘unheard history of rare studio gems, live sessions, concert recordings, radio interviews, covers, demos and B-sides.’
‘We’re the Kids in America,’ the third chapter of BBC Four’s ‘How the Brits Rocked America: Go West,’ features interviews with John Lydon, Robert Smith, Elvis Costello, Jim Kerr, Ian McCulloch, New Order’s Stephen Morris and Peter Hook, Adam Ant, Bob Geldof, Duran Duran’s Nick Rhodes and John Taylor, and many more.
Paul Weller today debuted the first official single off his upcoming album ‘Sonik Kicks,’ a fuzzed-out rocker called ‘That Dangerous Age,’ which you can stream here. It’s actually the second track Weller has previewed from the album, but it’s the first single, and will be released March 11 digitally and March 12 physically.
Public Image Ltd. will release its first new album in 20 years — the 12-track ‘This is PiL’ — in either May or June, and will tease the release with a four-song, vinyl-only EP spotlighting the single ‘One Drop’ that will be released on Record Store Day, frontman John Lydon announced on British radio this morning.
