Having released 1991′s ‘Laughing Stock’ on vinyl for the first time ever last year, Talk Talk continues to reissue its catalog, this time with 1986’s ‘The Colour of Spring’ and 1988’s ‘Spirit of Eden’ set for an April release on 180-gram audiophile vinyl with an accompanying DVD featuring a new 96 kHz/24 bit LPCM stereo mix.
Although neither band has formally announced the tour yet, The B-52s and Squeeze will pair up this summer for a run of U.S. shows — and dates are beginning to emerge online, with at least six concerts announced in June and July at venues in California, Colorado, Iowa, New Jersey, Virginia and New York.
This year’s South By Southwest will feature appearances by a horde of ’80s college rock vets, including The Jesus and Mary Chain, Bob Mould performing ‘Copper Blue,’ The Wedding Present, Thomas Dolby, The Cult, Dinosaur Jr and The dB’s, plus R.E.M.’s Peter Buck and Mike Mills playing Big Star’s ‘Third.’

Last month, ex- Jam frontman Paul Weller premiered the video for the first single off his upcoming ‘Sonik Kicks’ — rocker ‘That Dangerous Age’ — and today he follows that up with a new and very NSFW clip featuring album track ‘Dragonfly.’ It’s the third track Weller has previewed from the new album.
fIREHOSE — the band formed by Mike Watt and George Hurley following the 1985 death of their Minutemen bandmate D. Boon — will precede its spring tour and Coachella appearances with “lowFLOWs” the Columbia Anthology (’91-’93), a new 2CD set that compiles the band’s major-label output plus four unreleased cuts.
Dead Can Dance last week announced a 22-date European leg of its 2012 world tour, and today comes the first concrete news of U.S. concerts: The band — co-founders and mainstays Brendan Perry and Lisa Gerrard — will tour North America in August, and announced a first date in Virginia.
