As part of the label’s new From the Vaults web series on The Warner Sound channel on YouTube, the folks at Warner Bros. have dug up what they are billing as a previously unreleased, 26-minute Depeche Mode promotional documentary put together to promote the release of 1993’s ‘Songs of Faith and Devotion.’
The reunited ’80s-era lineup of Ultravox — featuring Midge Ure, Billy Currie, Chris Cross and Warren Cann — today announced a 13-date U.K. tour this September and October in support of the band’s forthcoming comeback album, ‘Brilliant’ — the first new album from that lineup in nearly three decades.

The Jesus and Mary Chain will join headliners Iggy and the Stooges and Elvis Costello at this September’s punk-heavy Riot Fest 2012 in Chicago, promoters announced this week, marking the latest U.S. date to be added to the slow-roll out of the Mary Chain’s still-evolving summer North American tour.
The new album from electronic music project Soulsavers — featuring Depeche Mode frontman Dave Gahan on lead vocals — arrives next week, but Mute Records is letting fans hear the full stream of ‘The Light the Dead See’ via the widget posted here. Last week we reported that Dead Can Dance will release its first new album in 16 years on Aug. 9, and now we know the title, thanks to the band’s Brendan Perry: ‘Anastasis.’ As Perry writes in the forum on his website, ‘The new album title is an ancient Greek word and its meaning is connected to the notion of rebirth.’
