The House of Love’s Guy Chadwick today played a second “Stay Safe” live set from his home in England, offering fans another 13-song, hour-long set that this time dug deep into the band’s catalog, mostly eschewing better-known songs for fan-favorites requests. Watch the full show right here.

Kansas City art-rock quintet Monta at Odds today released a new four-song EP that features a cover of Tones on Tail’s 1984 track “Movement of Fear” that the group rightly notes “has one of the holy grails of basslines for post-punk.” You can stream the track right here via Bandcamp.

The organizers of Record Store Day today announced the postponement of the 2020 installment for the second time, pushing the event first scheduled for April 18 and then delayed until June 30 to three separate “drops” in August, September and October. Full details on the new events right here.

Crowded House this week marked the 33rd anniversary of their classic single “Don’t Dream It’s Over” reaching No. 2 on the U.S. charts by recording a new socially-distanced version of the song “between continents.” You can see the whole multi-part performance right here.

Following the success of the debut of DJ Jake Rudh’s “180 Minutes” earlier this month, Transmission Music and Slicing Up Eyeballs are thrilled to announce the event — a 3+ hour audiovisual celebration of college rock and classic alternative music — will stream live on Twitch every other Saturday night, beginning this coming weekend.

Punk icons X celebrated today’s 40th anniversary of their landmark debut Los Angeles by surprise-releasing Alphabetland, the band’s first album in 27 years and the first recorded by its original lineup — Exene Cervenka, John Doe, Billy Zoom and D.J.
