Terri Nunn and Berlin return this week with a brand-new studio album called Animal, and we’ve got a pair of tickets to give away to one lucky Slicing Up Eyeballs reader to attend a special record-release on-stage interview and audience Q&A featuring the band on Tuesday night at the Grammy Museum in Los Angeles.

The Replacements took the stage tonight at Riot Fest in Chicago for the second of at least three planned reunion gigs (“We haven’t played in 3 weeks, but fuck it,” Paul Westerberg told the crowd before launching into “Takin’ a Ride”), and managed to play mostly the same set as their big comeback gig.

Tonight’s edition of “Dark Wave” on Sirius XM’s 1st Wave featured music from Pigface, The Glove, Joy Division, Shriekback, This Mortal Coil, Propaganda, Clan of Xymox, The Jesus and Mary Chain, The Smiths, Ministry, The Sisterhood, Tones on Tail, Theatre of Hate and much, much more.

As advertised, Peter Hook was featured on Thursday night’s episode of “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon,” where he sat in with The Roots, playing Joy Division and New Order classics — with Captain Kirk Douglas handling vocals — as the show went to and from commercial.

After taking his Mr. Moonlight Tour across the United States, Europe and even to South America this summer, Peter Murphy will bring the show — which celebrates the 35th anniversary of Bauhaus with a set comprised only of that band’s material or songs the group covered — back to California this October for five more concerts.

Morrissey’s long-in-the-works autobiography — titled, appropriately, “Autobiography” — was set to be published next week, but the singer claims a last-minute and heretofore unexplained “content disagreement” with Penguin Classics “has caused the venture to collapse,” leaving the former Smiths frontman in search of a new publisher.
