It’s hardly a secret that the reunited Afghan Whigs have been recording: The band’s Facebook page has been posting photos of Greg Dulli and Co. in the studio for months now. Still, there’s been no announcement of a new album. Which is why fans are excited about a tweet yesterday from actor/comedian Bob Odenkirk.

Cherry Red Records this spring will dig into The Mighty Lemon Drops’ early years with a new 24-track compilation of material culled from the indie-pop favorites’ early singles, demos, BBC radio sessions and recordings made for the NME’s legendary C86 tape and more.

Andrew Eldritch is rolling out The Sisters of Mercy for at least one performance so far in 2014, with the band confirmed to play the Sonisphere festival at Knebworth Park, England, on July 5 in what appears to be the goth-rock legends’ first performance since the summer of 2012.

Kraftwerk continue to expand its crowded early 2014 touring plans, which already consisted of 3D performances and a pair of runs of full-album dates in Los Angeles and Vienna; the latest additions to the group’s schedule include performances this April in New York City and Washington, D.C.

Back on Oct. 16, Gary Numan dropped by Amoeba Music in Hollywood during his U.S. tour to plan an in-store set, video from which the independent record giant has just posted. ere, you can see Numan and his band perform two tracks off last year’s Splinter as well as his smash “Cars.”

Roxy Music frontman Bryan Ferry will treat fans to “an incredible set list of hits, favorites rarities and covering 40 years of career highlights” during a short run of eight dates along the West Coast of the U.S. and Canada this April that have been scheduled around his twin appearances at Coachella.

The Throwing Muses have announced a select number of U.S. dates on both the East and West coasts in late February and early March in support of the band’s new book/album combo Purgatory/Paradise — including a pair of shows that will feature opening sets by Tanya Donelly.
