Former Aztec Camera mastermind Roddy Frame returns this May with his first solo album in eight years, a record called Seven Dials that is preceded by the debut today of lead-off single “Forty Days of Rain,” which you can stream below via AED Records.

Buren Fowler, former Drivin’ n’ Cryin’ guitarist and R.E.M. sideman, 1959-2014

Buren Fowler — who played lead guitar in Southern rock act Drivin’ n’ Cryin’ from 1988 to 1993 after working as Peter Buck’s guitar tech and an occasional second guitarist on two R.E.M. tours — passed away Friday night, according to messages posted to both Drivin’ n’ Cryin’s official website and Facebook page.

New Order to headline Los Angeles’ Greek Theatre a week after Sasquatch! festival

New Order has yet to reveal any summer touring plans, but it appears the band is booking U.S. dates around its recently announced slot at the Sasquatch! Music Festival, as the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles has announced the group will perform there with special guest La Roux on July 13.
