Echo & The Bunnymen today rescheduled most of the remainder of the band’s U.K. tour as frontman Ian McCulloch recovers from a throat infection, announcing several makeup dates in June and early July following the release of the band’s new album Meteorites.

Paul Weller’s already been announced as performing at two of the three Cure-headlined Riot Fests this September — Toronto and Chicago, but not Denver — and now the modfather has announced four dates in the Midwestern U.S. to fill the gap between those two festival appearances.

The Cure’s penchant for topping festival bills continues as Robert Smith and Co. were announced this evening as the headliners of all three Riot Fests — set for Toronto, Chicago and Denver this September — joining the band’s appearance at Bottle Rock in Napa Valley, Calif., this month.

The Jesus and Mary Chain is set to perform its landmark 1985 debut Psychocandy in its entirety at three U.K. concerts this November ahead of the record’s 30th anniversary next year, the NME is reporting today. The shows will be the band’s first in the U.K. since 2008.

The opening track and lead single off Morrissey’s forthcoming album World Peace is None of Your Business has just gone on sale via iTunes and other digital retailers, and accompanying the track in the iTunes Music Store is a video of Moz performing a solemn, spoken-word rendition of the song.

Daniel Ash has treated fans to the first taste of his forthcoming album Stripped, which will feature re-recorded selections from his catalog with Bauhaus, Love and Rockets and Tones on Tail. And the first track to emerge is Ash’s new electro take on Love and Rockets’ 1989 hit single “So Alive.”
