The Arcade Fire’s current tour has seen the indie-rock darlings trotting out a great variety of high-profile covers. Now the band’s turned to Echo & The Bunnymen, bringing that band’s frontman, Ian McCulloch, onstage in London tonight to perform that band’s 1983 classic “The Cutter.”

Morrissey has “fallen ill” and has canceled his Wednesday night concert in Atlanta, according to the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre’s website. Moz last performed on Saturday night in Miami, and had a three-night break scheduled before Wednesday night’s now-scrubbed Atlanta gig.

Robyn Hitchcock this August will release a brand-new, Joe Boyd-produced album titled The Man Upstairs that will be “part well-known favorites, part personal discoveries, and part originals,” according to Yep Roc Records. The first offering off the record is an acoustic take on the Psychedelic Furs’ classic “The Ghost in You.”

Morrissey has announced, through his customary outlet, the quasi-official fansite True To You, that his 30-year publishing deal with Warner-Chappell Music “has come to an end” — and that he’s now shopping his solo catalog and The Smiths’ catalog to any new publishers that might be interested.
