J Spaceman and Sonic Boom are asking fans of Spacemen 3 not to buy any of that band’s Record Store Day releases in the U.K., saying they’re in a dispute with the owner of the record label putting out the three titles, and that “any monies from those sales will go directly to him and help fund his side of the dispute.”

For this week’s installment of Vintage Video, we present the out-of-print, oft-bootlegged Public Image Ltd. concert film “Anarchy Movie ’85,” which only ever was released officially on VHS in Japan. This VHS transfer has surprisingly great picture and audio quality.

Folk Devils — an ’80s blues-influenced post-punk act fronted by the late Ian Lowery of Ski Patrol — will continue a reunion that began last year with the release of the retrospective Beautiful Monsters, having now announced summer dates in their native U.K. with the Inca Babies.

As Depeche Mode prepares to ramp up promotion of its new album Spirit and upcoming worldwide tour, the band is teasing a “special thank you show” in Hollywood next week that’s expected to be formally announced tomorrow. The band’s Global Spirit Tour opens May 5 in Stockholm.

The Afghan Whigs will release their second post-reunion album, In Spades, on May 5 on Sub Pop Records, and today gave fans their second taste of the record with the release of “Arabian Height,” which you can stream here. The single follows the video release of “Demon in Profile.”

Chicago’s Riot Fest this morning unveiled the lineup for its three-day September festival, which will be headlined by Nine Inch Nails, Queens of the Stone Age and a reunited Jawbreaker. Also on the bill: New Order, Ministry, Dinosaur Jr, X, Bad Brains, Buzzcocks, GBH, Fishbone and Alice Bag.
