Primal Scream today debuted the second single off the band’s upcoming 10th studio album ‘More Light,’ a song called “It’s Alright, It’s OK” that rides along on a ‘Screamadelica’-like groove and stands in stark contrast to the dark, honking rocker “2013” that preceded it. The album itself is due out May 13 in the U.K.

Today marks the 25th anniversary of the release of the Pixies’ landmark Surfer Rosa, which, if we’re to count Come On Pilgrim as an EP or “mini-LP,” was the band’s true debut album, featuring the instant classics “Bone Machine,” “Gigantic” and “Where Is My Mind?”

With frontman Richard Butler presumably recovered from the spinal surgery that sidelined the band’s New Year’s dates, The Psychedelic Furs today announced a run of seven U.S. concerts in late May and early June — including a pair on the East Coast with The Go-Go’s.
