Paul Weller returns this September with his 14th solo album, a record called True Meanings that features “lush orchestration” and is being described as the “most singer-songwriter style album he has ever made.” It features guest turns by Rod Argent of the Zombies and Noel Gallagher. The popular 33 1/3 book series — self-described as “short books about albums” — will feature an installment by Australian music professor Samantha Bennett to be published this fall about Siouxsie and the Banshees’ 1988 album Peepshow. The 160-page book, which can be pre-ordered now, will be out Oct. 18.
Legendary British punk act The Damned will return to the United States this October for a tour in support of Evil Spirits, the band’s first new album in a decades — a 12-date trek that will take the band across the country, with the promise of more dates to be announced. See full dates right here.
