A trove of early Wax Trax! Records material from Ministry, Revolting Cocks, Pailhead, 1,000 Homo DJs, PTP and Acid Horse — including previously unreleased tracks and demos — will be compiled on a limited-edition 7CD/1LP box set to be released for Record Store Day next month in both the U.S. and the U.K.

Siouxsie and the Banshees to reissue ‘Join Hands’ on vinyl with original artwork, tracklist

Siouxsie and the Banshees will reissue their second album — Join Hands, originally released in 1979 — on 180-gram vinyl for Record Store Day in the U.K., a limited-edition pressing featuring the original rejected sleeve and with the song “Infantry” restored to its “rightful place as the album closer,” according to the band.

On tour last year, Johnny Marr introduced a surprise to his encore set: a cover of Depeche Mode’s 1993 single “I Feel You.” Now, for Record Store Day, Marr is releasing a studio version of that cover as a limited-edition 7-inch single, backed by a live cover of The Smiths’ “Please, Please, Please Let Me Get What I Want.”

Having just wrapped up a European tour in support of their reunion album, The Afghan Whigs dropped by Jimmy Kimmel Live last night, where they performed a pair of tracks off Do To the Beast: the single “The Lottery,” which was shown on-air, and then, as a web-only performance, “I Am Fire,” coupled with just a taste of Fleetwood Mac’s “Tusk.”
