Peter Murphy remains hospitalized in New York City after suffering a heart attack this week, which has forced the former Bauhaus frontman to scrub the remaining five dates of his 12-concert residency in that city, his publicists announced Wednesday. Full details right here.
The Cure today shared the first footage of their 2018 appearance at the Meltdown festival that will be included in the band’s upcoming 40 Live: Curaetion-25 + Anniversary box set, which document that performance and their 40th anniversary show in London’s Hyde Park last year. The Pixies are back with a second track — the melodic rocker “Catfish Kate” — off their upcoming album Beneath the Eyrie, the band’s third post-reunion, post-Kim Deal effort and seventh full-length overall. You can see the animated music video for the track right here.

The Cure will commemorate last year’s 40th anniversary celebration with a new 6-disc box set this fall that will include full audio and video of the band’s recently screened “Anniversary” concert film as well as the yet-to-be-seen visual document of the group’s Meltdown festival set.
