Nearly 1,000 fans of The Cure contributed video and photos to a project by a Polish fansite to stitch together an enormous amateur multicam of the band’s Oct. 20, 2016, concert in Łódź, Poland — and they’re now offering the nearly 3-hour film as a free download to fellow fanatics. Classic synthpop outfit Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark will cap off the year with the release of a new 10-song compilation of the B-sides and remixes that accompanied the three singles released this year to promote the group’s latest album The Punishment of Luxury.

We here at Slicing Up Eyeballs HQ are, admittedly, not fans of sport, but were nevertheless duly impressed to see the jumbotron operator at a Washington Wizards basketball game this past week throw the camera onto local fan Guy Picciotto, an icon of D.C.’s post-hardcore scene after his pivotal role in both Rites of Spring and Fugazi.

Chuck Mosley, the early frontman who appeared on the first two albums by hard-to-pin-down Bay Area outfit Faith No More and later replaced H.R. in seminal hardcore group Bad Brains, died this week “due to the disease of addiction,” his family announced today. He was 57.

Morrissey today released the third song off his upcoming 10th solo album Low in High School, the apparently Brexit-themed single “Jack’s Only Happy When She’s Up On Stage,” which you hear in full via the official lyric video below. The 7-inch release will include a cover of the Elvis Presley classic “You’ll Be Gone.”

Michael Stipe returned to the concert stage Sunday night, performing a short set — he covered songs by Nat King Cole, Ringo Starr and the Velvet Underground — during the Pathway to Paris climate event at New York City’s Carnegie Hall on Sunday. Watch the full performance right here.
