Having already played more than 40 concerts on their wildly successful Doolittle 20th anniversary tour, the Pixies will bring the show back to the U.S. for an 11-date run in September, hitting cities the band skipped last fall.
Beginning Sept. 7 in Philadelphia and running through Sept. 25 in San Diego (see dates below), the band once again will perform the 1989 album in its entirety and the record’s six B-sides, plus — if the shows are like last year’s — an encore of non-Doolittle material.
Most of the September concerts will go on sale June 14, although the band is offering a special pre-sale that begins 9 a.m. ET this Monday via pixiesmusic.com; fans who purchase those tickets will receive a free live recording of the show they attend, delivered via e-mail the following day.
