Last night at London’s Royal Albert Hall, former Jam bandmates Paul Weller and Bruce Foxton reunited on stage for the first time since 1982 to play three songs together during the second night of Weller’s five-gig residency. According to the NME, Foxton joined Weller on “Fast Car/Slow Traffic” — from Weller’s new Wake Up the Nation, on which Foxton guests on bass— as well as a pair of Jam classics “The Eton Rifles” and “The Butterfly Collector.”
The music mag’s review quotes Foxton: “Well, it’s been a while hasn’t it?” Twenty-eight years, I think. Thank you for the wonderful reception!”
Above, we’ve got video featuring both “Fast Car/Slow Traffic” and “The Eton Rifles,” while each song can be watched separately from different angles below. Haven’t see video of “The Butterfly Collector” yet. Also, Weller is streaming Thursday night’s Royal Albert Hall gig in its entirety — for fans who want to pay $12.99. It starts at 3:45 p.m. EDT.

Yet again Mr Weller comes up trumps with yet another great album. More in your face and foot stomping than 22 dreams (which is also awesome). The man is a pure song writting master.
