  1. It’s always a good night when you play anything from Confessions of a Knife. Nights that include Daniel Ash are even better. Holiday on the Moon was perfectly placed. Thank you kindly for the Surfin Dead. Now that we are on the subject of great Christian Death songs, could we hear:

Christian Death – Spiritual Cramp (Creux Lies Mix)

This may have been one of your top 10 shows. You could never play Birthday too much. Thank you for doing the Lord’s work.

  2. “Dragon” by the Sugarcubes/Björk for the (next after next) Sunday’s show

  3. Wonderful show overall, but it was Hour 2 for me hands down. Some of my favorite songs by Iron Curtain, ABCrians, Cure, and Nitzer. Great stuff.

Would like to hear some Eleven Pond on a future episode please. “Watching Trees”, “Blood Ruins Film”, or “Sitting on Chairs” maybe.

When did you start adding the links to buy the albums? Nice touch. Appreciate it. Have a great rest of your week.

  4. Thank you for the buzzy Hour 3 start that included a Buzzcocks’ request.

  5. Nice setlist this week. Going deep on Replicas with the title track was a nice touch as was Stiff Little Fingers

  6. Haven’t been commenting lately but I still keep up with the playlists, you can gurantee that. Was lovely to hear “Holiday On the Moon” last night and that David J solo track. Certainly one of my favorites from David J’s solo career.

    Have a great week!

  7. Great show tonight. Thank you for Chameleons Swamp Thing. I am verified Norcal swamp thing today, tomorrow n probably for the foreseeable. Going to see Gary Numan and FLA on 2/28. Ty for the tracks tonight! Can you resurrect “New You” by MBV? Inspirational song and I am looking forward to Spring, 2024. What tracks do you think FLA will get down with for the Gary Numan show? Ty -tvgabe

  8. David J in on 3 songs last night !! Nice!

Matt, can I hear Pornography – the song – by The Cure please
Doesn’t get much “darker” than this

    Constantine

  9. Loving The Young Gods, Japan & Killing Joke trax on the recent playlist!!!

Here’s a request…Sister Machine Gun Wired & Die Warzau Welcome To America

    Thnx

  10. This episode was full of bangers. Thank you especially for playing “Some Kind of Stranger”.
Could I hear some Einstürzende Neubauten on a future episode?

  11. Southern Death Cult – Moya

  12. Scratch Acid – Cannibal (1984)
The Cure – I Just Need Myself (1978)

  13. Wow all 3 hours were super awesome….Swamp Thing…man I love that song…I could here it 20 times in a row and not get sick of it. Thank you for Warm Leatherette…such a cold, antiseptic classic!! Some possible suggestions for next time:

    Metric – Monster Hospital
    Blancmange – Don’t Tell Me
    Furniture – Brilliant Mind

    Thanks again as always! 。◕‿◕。

  14. Jonathan Leon

    Hello! Great mix this week.
I’ve heard that The Crow is celebrating 30 years. Can you play The Jesus and Mary Chain – Snakedriver? That would be great!

  15. Wow, that first set…!!

  16. I think my recent requests have been cursed! lol I see “Some Candy Talking” in the playlist but heard “Birthday” in the slot. Oh well, at least I got to hear Jim and William Reid in the mix!
Loved the Cramps followed by Dead Boys!

A request for an upcoming show:
Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds “The Ship Song”

    Thank you!

    • In the words of the giant on Twin Peaks, “It is happening again.” “Birthday” was indeed in the “Some Candy Talking” slot. Great call on the Bad Seeds track Nicole, easy second on that one.

      • ah! ok I’m not losing it after all! heard that (Birthday, which was on a recent week) too but saw the playlist and was thoroughly doubting myself…

  17. Enjoyed all three hours Matt. How about Living in Another World by Talk Talk.

  18. Finely balanced set. Thanks for the Abecedarians track, excellent choice! I’m determined to track down their album Eureka on vinyl, no luck thus far. Chameleons and The The were highlights as well as the punk block to open hour 3. Great cut from David J and a lead vocal from the man on a great Love and Rockets b-side was sweet. Triple whammy with some Bauhaus to close out the show was inspired.

Could we hear “Six Strings That Drew Blood” from The Birthday Party on a future show?

Have a great week Matt, cheers!

  19. Last night I was struck by the sonic similarities between Warm Leatherette and Ministry’s Flashback. I wonder if uncle Al was inspired by the former? Or maybe I’m hearing things in my excitement to see Ministry + Gary Numan soon!

Hey on that note, how about Flashback for an upcoming episode?

Thanks for another great episode Matt!

I think it was last week that I listened to the repeat and the song that plays once the episode is over is no longer Pretty In Pink. End of an era!

  20. Matt Good Show
Some of my favs from the night are This Ascension, Killing Joke and Snake Corps.

  21. A request for Gang Of Four – To Hell With Poverty
    Thanks

  22. Great tunes in each hour! Always appreciate the punk blocks.

With the recent announcement of the No Values (https://novalues.com/) festival this June, can I make a future request for any Misfits and Iggy Pop song of your choosing? Thanks!

  23. I’m a fairly new listener and new to Sirius XM. This show is one of the reasons why I got a subscription and this recent episode is some of the best radio I ever heard! If you are taking requests then can you play Vexation by Front Line Assembly? Thanks!

  24. Great show!! I’d love to hear anything off of Lift by love and rockets (or the sisters’ cover of Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door)
