John Paul Jones, the bassist and keyboardist of Led Zeppelin, produced albums for the The Mission. He worked with them on two of their albums:
1. “Children” (1988): John Paul Jones co-produced this album with The Mission. It was their third studio album and featured tracks such as “Tower of Strength” and “Beyond the Pale.”
2. “Carved in Sand” (1990): John Paul Jones produced this album, which became one of The Mission’s most successful releases. It included songs like “Deliverance” and “Butterfly on a Wheel.” “Carved in Sand” showcased a slightly more accessible sound for the band and received positive reviews.
These collaborations between John Paul Jones and The Mission played a significant role in shaping the band’s sound during the late 1980s and early 1990s.

I got to see Love & Rockets in Atlanta and what a great show it was! Glad they reunited and I got to fulfill my dream of seeing one of my favorite groups live. Naturally, I’m going to request a tune from them for a future installment. We had a great time listening to the show driving from Montreal to Rhode Island. That second hour was particularly outstanding, but all three were great. Loved the cuts from ACR, Pylon and Au Pairs. Couldn’t agree with you more about Holiday on the Moon live, just awesome.

Matt, I can’t echo your sentiments enough about how The Cure are amazing live and Burn was definitely a highlight! I finally got to see them on their Phoenix stop a couple of weeks ago.
