  1. Lionel Richie?

    Next year: Barry Manilow.

  2. Happy sunday to All.

    Killing joke -love like blood

Would be nice to hear and stay awake

It still kind of bugs me that they didn’t just wait a couple of years and hold a proper ceremony for the 2020 Class.
Depeche Mode we’re long overdue this kind of recognition and the way they received it was…well meaningless.
Anyhow, I think this is a decent class too and much better than last year.
Duran Duran are also way overdue and it will be nice to see them reunite with Warren Cuccurullo for a song or two on the night.
As for the rest…Eurythmics are also a class act and seeing them belt out Sweet Dreams and Here Comes the Rain will be a treat I’m sure.
Dolly Parton said no so maybe they should have respected her wishes and just induct Judas Priest in the right way instead?
Eminem…ugh…ok rock hall if you must.
Pat Benetar, should have gone in 2020.

  4. I’m honor of their induction- how about “Friends of Mine” from Duran Duran…. And “Dancing on the Ceiling” from Lionel Richie?

  5. Warren, Andy or Dom. That is the question. Hard to predict!! Warren probably more likely than Andy.

  6. Of this class, I guess I am most excited about Eurythmics. Their brand of synthpop was innovative and Annie Lennox (along with Yaz’s Alison Moyet) both showed that the genre did could have vocalists with depth, power, and soul. It will be cool to see Annie and Dave on stage with Duran Duran at the final jam.

Now, who will give the induction speeches?

And oh yeah, the continued failure to induct Kate Bush is just embarrassing.

  7. Delta Mode

    Courtney Love to induct Duran?
I think Nile Rodger’s would be too obvious.

  8. So no NY Dolls or MC5. But we get to hear a song with these lyrics instead-“oh what a feeling/when you’re dancing on the ceiling!” Totally make sense! Happy for Pat Benatar and Judas Priest anyway.

  9. Delta Mode

Don’t forget “the union of the snake is on the riiisssee!!!!”

  10. Marc Hemrick

I bet after the resurgence of Kate Bush, from Stranger Things, she will make the cut next year
