The Pixies this week debuted a brand-new single called “Human Crime” with a music video directed by the band’s bassist, Paz Lenchantin. It’s the first new music from the group since their October 2020 single “Hear Me Out.” The band didn’t announce a new album when releasing the new single, though frontman Black Francis has said he’s written some 40 songs for the follow-up to 2019’s Beneath the Eyrie.
Check out the new track:

Terrible. I’m sorry, but it’s just not good.
I agree Eric…
A Pixies throwaway…Kind of mellow and “small” for the Pixies, but you can’t go wrong with dancing nymphs…here the video is more interesting than the music.
“Dance Little Nymphster, Dance”! (after the Stones)
Comes in, barely establishes itself, then politely leaves. Not what I’m looking for with the Pixies.
