Tears For Fears will tour the U.S. next year with Garbage in support of Roland Orzabal and Curt Smith’s first new studio album in 18 years, The Tipping Point, which will be released in February. The 21-date tour runs from May 20 through June 25. See full dates below.
Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. local time on Friday, Nov. 19, and each seat purchased comes with a digital download of the new album. Fans can sign up for a presale that starts 10 a.m. local time Tuesday, Nov. 16, through the band’s website. Another presale, for Citi cardholders, starts that same day; full details here.
“We couldn’t be more excited to start playing concerts again,” Smith said in a news release announcing the tour. “We’ve missed seeing our friends on the road around the world and the energy of performing live.” Orzabal added: “The Tipping Point has been a long time in the making and we are looking forward to playing our favorites from the new album as well as our classics from throughout the years.”
The new album, the band’s first since 2004’s Everybody Loves a Happy Ending, is due out Feb. 25 via Concord Records. It’s described as “a song cycle reflecting many of the personal and professional tipping points the pair — AND THE WORLD — have faced throughout the last several years.”
