Beggars Banquet will reissue the lone studio album from Bauhaus offshoot Tones on Tail — 1984’s nine-song set Pop — for the first time ever on Record Store Day, packing the album in a new sleeve featuring revised artwork and silver foil text.
The black-vinyl reissue of Pop from Tones on Tail — Bauhaus (and future Love and Rockets) members Daniel Ash and Kevin Haskins along with Glenn Campling — will be available only at participating independent retailers in the U.S. and Canada; it won’t be sold in the U.K. The audio was cut from the original analog master, according to Beggars Banquet.
Now in its 12th year, Record Store Day falls on April 18 June 20 (delayed by coronavirus) this year. Head over to the recordstoreday.com and recordstoreday.co.uk websites to see full lists of exclusive, limited-run and “RSD First” releases along with participating record stores in the U.S. and the U.K., respectively.

I’m not so sure the album wasn’t released on vinyl initially… Actually I’m pretty sure I have it on vinyl. Now I need to go check.
It was released on vinyl back in 1984. But the label says this is the first time it’s being reissued.
ugh – I hate semantics
Also wrong as, while it was quite some time ago, it was reissued in the UK in 1988:

But it WAS reissued on vinyl with a revised tracklisting, wasn’t it?
You might be thinking of the North American (US & Canada) release?

With both Twist and Go, I think the US version was a lot stronger. I used to get high to that album all the time, as I imagine other did.
AND is HAS been reissued on LP with the original tracklisting as well
oooooooh
doesn’t;t one feel like such a man, with a big willy and all, when they can prove someone else wrong.
“aha, it WAS re-released once before… FAKE NEWS, I am King, I HAVE THE POWERRRRRRR”
jeez, who cares, it’s available again, that’s pretty good for those who never had it, or don’t have it anymore on vinyl.
