Martin Phillipps brought his iconic New Zealand indie-pop outfit The Chills to the studios of Seattle’s KEXP during the band’s U.S. tour this past spring for a four-song on-air set and interview that the radio station has recently shared via YouTube. You can watch it below.
Phillipps and Co. performed the band’s classic 1984 single “Pink Frost,” plus “Wet Blanket” off 1987’s Brave Words and a couple of more recent tracks: “Underwater Wasteland,” from 2015’s Silver Bullets, and “Deep Belief,” off the band’s superb 2018 album Snow Bound.
