Party-rock favorites The B-52s are headed out on a 40th anniversary tour of North America this summer, and they’ve enlisted contemporaries Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark and Berlin to open the tour. OMD also will be playing four headline shows in the U.S. during a tour break.
The tour opens Aug. 4 in Los Angeles and wraps up Sept. 24 in New York City, with 23 dates in between. Tickets for most of the shows go on sale Friday.
See full information on ticketing and on-sale dates at either The B-52s’ website or OMD’s website.

Why does Pittsburgh get overlooked so much over Philly??? I don’t get it.
Aren’t there like over a million more people in Philadelphia than Pittsburgh? I suspect that’s the answer.
Pittsburgh is 7-8 hours away from Philly. Cleveland is a much more comparable town for comparing bookings. Philly is easy to reach from NY, Baltimore, etc. And, yes, it is a much larger city in its own right.
Not one date anywhere near the midwest. I would LOVE to go to this show, but I’m not traveling that far to do so. It’s too bad. Your fans are everywhere.
They have several open dates (Aug. 19, Sept. 9-10 and Sept. 15) where shows can be added. Chicago, Milwaukee, and Minneapolis would work on any of those dates.
Cincinnati? Detroit? Dayton? Grand Rapids?
No Chicago?!
…Ohio is considered somewhat ”near” the midwest.
No Chicago, really?
Come to WI and take my money! OMD is always a must and the B-52s have been great in the past. Just saw some mini concerts Berlin put on at Disney (of all places) and they were fantastic.
I know…. right!!!
Why not Chicago???
Um, how about Chicago area???
The Dave, Terri and John line-up of Berlin?!!? No Chicago or Indy dates?!!?
Australian tour would be fantastic? Something to think about I reckon
And NO Canadian dates?
FIGURES!
Toronto – September 13th.
I won’t be there this time but here’s hoping they play several songs from Bouncing Off the Satellites because they should be performed at every show. That I’ve never seen Summer Of Love live is, well I can deal but I don’t want to! Yes I’m thankful they’ve played Wig and Ipanema, but I’d lose it if they played Housework or Nude Beach.
Mike- they will play Toronto in September
Grand Rapids, MI is in the Midwest.
As is Detroit, Cincinnati, and Dayton.
Tampa Tampa Tampa!! would luv to be going to Central Park tho…
Hey so, in what order you think theyll play. I dont wanna miss them
HOW did Chicago get skipped?!
