New Wave icon Adam Ant today announced he’ll return to the U.S. this September for a month-long tour during which he’ll perform his 1982 post-Ants solo debut Friend or Foe — which bore the hit title track and “Goody Two-Shoes” and “Desperate But Not Serious” — each night.
The tour opens Sept. 4 in Milwaukee and wraps up Oct. 1 in Miami, with 16 dates in between, including one show in Canada. A presale begins at 10 a.m. local time on Tuesday, with the general on-sale scheduled to follow at 10 a.m. local time on Friday. For more information on tickets, visit adam-ant.com.
Each show will feature his 12-track 1982 album in its entirety “as well as classic chart-topping singles and personal favorites,” according to a news release.

Can’t wait!
I love you Adam ! I first saw you when I was 15 in Chicago. I dreamed I would marry you and have your children . I saw you again after I had married and had children. You have been a part of my life and I thank you. You will always be my first love, my secret love. I will always love you.
Thanks, Charmaine. I love you as well. Leave your family and meet me backstage in Miami. Life’s too short to live a lie. I’ll be waiting for you.
Yrs,
Adam
Yes! My question is: will he have a horn section? If he’s doing Friend or Foe, he really needs to have some horns on the tour.
He at least in St. Louis, did not have any horns. It was disappointing. He had two drummers. It seemed he wanted a larger drum sound, rather than horns. He vocalized horns on one song, but otherwise they were noticeably absent. :(
Seriously? Not coming to Los Angeles? Is this not a big enough market? Can’t compete with Cleveland and Cincinnati?
I second the vote for Los Angeles! (And please bring Marco)
I love you, too, Adam. I saw you when I was 13 in KC. I didn’t dream of marrying you or having your children, but had dreams with you… Just bought Chicago ticks, and may even road-trip it to MKE or STL to continue those dreams…
And CA peeps…you are so spoiled…beautiful weather, tons of live shows, beaches, surf, SUN…WE cannot compete. Throw us a bone, baby! Take a road trip! It’s cheaper, for sure…
MARCO????? Is he part of the package?
Can’t believe I’ve actually bought myself a ticket. Trying to see you since I was 19. My story since then is much like yours. I’m amazed and honored I’ll get to experience you in Mpls.
In 1980, I happened to see a cassette featuring this handsome rogue in wild pirate gear on the cover. I bought it on a hunch that it would be great and have been a fan ever since, even passing on the love of Adam Ant to my daughter. Thank you for coming to Orlando. We can’t wait to see you!!
