Reactivated 2 Tone ska legends The Specials will return to the U.S. this summer for at least three concerts in California. According to its Facebook page, the band will perform in Oakland, Pomona and San Diego in late June. It’s not known yet whether more shows are in the offing.
The Specials last toured North America in the summer of 2017, with a 12-date run of concerts that included shows in Canada and both the east and west coasts of the U.S.
The band most recently featured three original members members — singer Terry Hall, bassist Horace Panter and guitarist/vocalist Lynval Golding — with Ocean Colour Scene guitarist Steve Craddock and drummer Gary Powell of The Libertines filling out the lineup.
