Morrissey today not only announced the forthcoming release of a new album — Low in High-School, due out in November — but the ex-Smiths frontman also unveiled plans for a headlining date at the legendary Hollywood Bowl about a week before the album’s release.
As part of the promotion for the Nov. 10 date, parties unknown amended the Hollywood Bowl exit above the 101 freeway, slapping Moz’s name above the venue’s title. The photo above was taken by D.P. Scott on the southbound 101 around 11:30 this morning. It’s not clear if the signage is still up.
A presale for the Hollywood Bowl concert already is underway, with the general public on-sale set for 10 a.m. PDT Friday. Billy Idol has been announced as the support act for the concert.

At least we know Billy will show. Sorry. Had to.
Billy may show, but leave show early without any explanation. He did that recently at HOB in Anaheim. Was disappointed. And he is one of my favorite’s.
This is all kinds of great. And yes, I do hope he shows.
I’m for keeping the sign as modified. The new album title is another matter all together. Plenty of time to change that (please).
Hope he comes back to Philadelphia!
