The Church, which recently began working on a follow-up to 2014’s Further/Deeper, will return to the U.S. for what’s being billed as a “limited run” of concerts — a nine-date tour that has the band playing shows in the eastern half of the country, including a slot at Milwaukee’s Summerfest.
The tour opens June 28 in Ann Arbor, Mich., and includes shows in Cincinnati, Nashville, Chicago, Richmond, Va., and Ardmore, Pa., before wrapping up July 8 at Daryl’s House, the venue run by Daryl Hall in Pawling, N.Y. Tickets for all of the concerts go on sale Friday.
The new album will be The Church’s 26th, and second since parting ways with Marty Willson-Piper in 2013.

Daryl’s House is a great place to see a gig. Very cozy with a great sound. I saw Robyn Hitchcock there last year. Will be surreal to see them at a place that is decorated like Graceland for Hall and Oats.
