The Dead Milkmen to bring ‘Pretty Music for Pretty People’ to West Coast on spring tour

The Dead Milkmen

The Dead Milkmen will head to the West Coast this spring — the important thing here is that we get to the part where you ask them how they’re gonna get there — for a seven-date tour that will take them from Vancover, B.C., down to San Diego playing shows in support of their recently released new album Pretty Music for Pretty People.

The trek marks the Milkmen’s first West Coast tour in nearly three years, and opens April 17 in Vancouver, then hits Seattle and Portland before a four-date California run that wraps up April 25 in Los Angeles

Of the tour, drummer Dean Clean says:

“We’re very excited about playing out West for our fans — both old and new — and being able to play some of the new album tracks along with the old favorites. Although the trouble is, I bet the minute we get back to Philly we’ll hear from someone in Seattle or L.A. say, ‘Hey guys! How come you never play out here?!’  It never fails!”

Last October, the Milkmen released the 17-track Pretty Music for Pretty People, their follow-up to 2011′s The King in Yellow, which itself was the band’s first new album in 15 years.

Below, check out those tour dates, plus the video for the new album’s title track.
