Former Oingo Boingo frontman Danny Elfman returned to the concert stage for the first time in 18 years last fall, conducting and singing a program called “Danny Elfman’s Music From the Films of Tim Burton” at a handful of dates in the U.K. and U.S. — and he’ll now reprise that performance at a pair of Los Angeles-area concerts at Halloween.
The Oscar-nominated composer is slated to perform with the Hollywood Studio Symphony, conducted by John Mauceri, on Halloween at Los Angeles’ Nokia Theatre and on Nov. 2 at the Honda Center in Anaheim. Tickets for both performances are now on sale.
Like last year’s performances, the shows will be largely orchestral, based on the music Elfman has composed for 16 of Burton’s films, with Elfman singing the role of Jack Skellington for some of that character’s songs from “The Nightmare Before Christmas.”
Check out footage from the U.K., where Elfman sang live last October for the first time since 1995’s Oingo Boingo farewell concert at Los Angeles’ Universal Amphitheater.

I would pay $100 for a new, well produced Oingo Boingo album. Good new music is becoming so rare.
I would LOVE to see this
