Mike Peters last week addressed his departure from Big Country, thanking both the band and its fans “for a wonderful four years” without offering any reason for his split with the reunited group — which itself only has revealed to fans that “Big Country and Mike will now be parting ways” as it continues on as a four-piece.
Peters, though, isn’t sitting around waiting for a new gig: He’s celebrating the 30th anniversary of The Alarm’s Declaration album by performing the record on tour next year. So far, he’s announced a 16-date U.K. tour beginning in mid-February, with a pair of New York City shows throw in the middle, too.

A: The act of traveling from one place to another; a trip.I’m sure you will all have read, as I have, the postings on the Big Country Facebook and website announcing that the group have decided to revert back to a four piece.
I would like to thank Big Country and all the Big Country fans for a wonderful four years and wish everyone well in their future endeavours. I hope to see you all again in the near future. I also want to thank all the Mike Peters and Alarm fans for their support and loyalty and look forward to celebrating with you at The Gathering in January and on the Declaration Tour in 2014.
The messages of goodwill have been overwhelming and I would like to reassure everyone that I am in good health and looking forward to the future!
