The Stone Roses reunion hasn’t made much of a splash on these shores, with just a pair of U.S. performances from the band at Coachella this past April. But American fans will get a closer glimpse when the concert documentary “The Stone Roses: Made of Stone” screens in U.S. theaters next month and the gets a DVD/Blu-ray release in December.
The film, directed by Shane Meadows (“This Is England”) and tracing the rise, fall and improbable resurrection of the Roses, begins screening in theaters in the U.S. and Canada on Nov. 6; check the “Made of Stone” website for an updated list of screenings.
Then, on Dec. 3, MVD Entertainment Group releases the film on both Blu-ray and DVD in the U.S., with bonus features that include commentary from the director, behind the scenes footage form the Roses’ first reunion show at Warrington Parr Hall, and bonus live performances of “She Bangs the Drums,” “Shoot You Down” and “I Wanna Be Adored,” complete with a false start.
Below, check out the official trailer for the film, plus a 4-minute scene that Rolling Stone recently shared — and the full tracklist for the DVD/Blu-ray release.
